Guardamar del Segura is on the coast of Alicante province. Between Santa Pola and Torrevieja. Guardamar has 11 kilometers of fine sandy beaches ideal for swimming and water sports. Here there is a wide range of accommodation facilities such as hotels, hostal, rental of apartments and campsites that makes this is a popular tourist and vacation spot.

The Rio de segura runs through the town and down to the Mediterranean where there also is a båthavn.Guardamar also offer various archaeological sites like the Phoenician city of La Fonteta and the Las Dunas and a Moorish fortress.

The municipal archaeological-ethnological museum and Engineer Mira casa Museum are two more interesting cultural venues. Guardamar also has various ecologically interesting natural areas. We provide specially attention to Lagunas de La Mata nature reserve, which has a network of trails that are ideal for hiking and cycling.

Guardamar is a typical Spanish town with about 16,000 inhabitants. The village is also foreigners from several countries such as Britain, Scandinavia, Germany and many other countries who have found their peace here. Guardamar has one teeming with life all year round, but especially during the summer as this is a popular bath and resort mix of Spaniards and the rest of Europe. The boardwalk is amazing and popular place to enjoy life all year round with views down to the white bathing beaches and the Mediterranean.

Every Wednesday there is a large market in the city that has a lot of different vegetables, clothes, shoes etc There are also several other major markets in the short distance which is open Saturdays and Sundays. Guardamar also night market located in one of the streets down towards the sea and here there will be stalls set up every night with a little of each. This market is also right next to the famous green family park Reina Sofia with lots of different trees and palms with a rich bird life with different species of peacocks to ducks and geese swimming in the artificial streams and waterfalls. This city is really worth a visit.
