Orihuela Costa has 16 kilometers of coastline which varies from rugged coastline with crystal clear water to fine white sand beaches. These beaches are ideal for water sports, fishing, etc., or just relax and enjoy the wonderful climate and Orihuela Costa.

Orihuela Costa boasts some of the best beaches in Spain. Year after year, Orihuela Costa has been rewarded with the "blue quality flag", which is internationally recognized as the highest honor that can be given to the beaches, which means that they have passed a series of tests and are among the best in the world.

The first one was awarded with the "Q" flag is Cala Capitan, Cala las Estacas and Playa de la Glea. Orihuela Costa has already four blue flags and eleven "Qualitur" flag, and, most flags throughout the Valencia region.


"Q" award is the seal of the Spanish Quality Tourism. Tourism products with "Q" mark meet required quality standards and customer requirements. "Q" means prestige, reliability, commitment and distinction. The aim is to achieve recognition by consumers and tour operators. Companies are eligible for the "Q" for Quality Tourism designation in Spain are: hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, campgrounds, nature areas, tourist offices, convention bureaus, convention centers, beaches, golf courses, country accommodation, ski resorts, regional tourist offices and centers of activity tourism.


Orihuela Costa - Punta Prima

This very attractive and popular beach bordered on the north by the beach Naufragos (Torrevieja) and to the south of Playa Flamenca.

The narrow Cove Beach is a favorite among tourists and is divided into two levels with a total length of 170 meters by 14 wide and is accessible via ramps and stairs. It is planned to install a lift in the year which will facilitate access for the elderly and physically disabled beach area. This will not only provide a much needed service, but will hopefully help to get the first blue flag for the beach next year.

This beach hotel also offers full range of services one would expect on a Orihuela Costa beach with a bus stop and public telephone.


Orihuela Costa - Playa Flamenca

This popular and award winning beach has a length of 150 meters with an average width of 16 meters and there are no obstacles and easy access to it.

This is an open beach of fine sand and it is very popular with bathers and sun-seekers. Limits to the north in Punta Prima and south by La Zenia Playa Flamenca is one of the busiest on the Orihuela Costa.

This beach has again and again been awarded the blue flag.

Here there are parking facilities, special access for the disabled, telephone, play area, toilets and foot-washing facilities, watchtowers and lifeguards and Red Cross stations. There is also a bus stop and taxi rank. It is also a popular promenade and several walkways. Near the beach there are a number of popular restaurants where visitors can taste traditional dishes from the area.


Orihuela Costa - La Zenia

Playa Cala Cerrada

This is one of the busiest beaches of Orihuela Costa. This sandy beach is 350 meters long by 60 wide. This very popular beach will be endeavoring to secure a Blue Flag next year and is an ideal place for practicing all kinds of water sports.

There are special disabled access, toilets, foot-washing facilities and a Red Cross station, public telephone, parking, playground, taxi rank and a bus to the area. Located near this beach you can also find many restaurants where you can enjoy excellent Spanish and European cuisine. The nearby hotels offer excellent accommodation.


Playa Cala Bosque

Orihuela Costa - Cabo Roig

The beautiful beach of Cabo Roig is bordered on the north side of the beach of La Zenia and south of the beach in Dehesa de Campoamor.


Puerto Deportivo Cabo Roig

beach is 420 meters long by 18 meters wide and is shaped like a cove and accessible by newly ramps and stairs. The beach is near the marina and is till divided the coveted blue flag.

The beach has a lot to offer from excellent quality water and sand to an ideal environment for those who want to participate in a wide range of water sports including sailing, windsurfing, skiing etc. There are parking facilities, a public telephone, special access for the disabled, a bus stop , toilets and foot-washing facilities, lifeguards and vaktårn and red cross station.
